Last Weekend in Seattle

Well folks, let me apologize in advance if any of this post is duplicative of an earlier post--I'm sitting here thinking I had posted about what we did when we got back to Seattle after Grandparent Camp, but in looking on the site, I don't see any such blog.  So I'll give this a shot anyway, but if you've already read this, just fast forward!!

Saturday evening when we got back to Seattle, we all went out to dinner, along with Karen' mom and sister, to celebrate our anniversary, and also Karen and Todd's a couple weeks early, as they will celebrate their 14th here shortly.  Then Sunday, Karen, Todd, John, Trisha and I spent the day hiking in an area known as Twin Falls--tons of people out enjoying a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun.  Monday and Tuesday Karen and Todd had to go back to work, of course, so we got another couple of days to hang out with John.  He and I went to see Smurfs 2 one afternoon while Trisha found a yarn shop where she got some buttons for a new baby snuggly she's making for a friend's first grand baby.  I also was able to get some maintenance done on the RV, and spent some time cleaning it, after all the sand and salt air from our time out on the Olympic Peninsula.

Wednesday morning we finally had to say goodbye to John and his parents, as we headed off to Vancouver Island for a week.  Glad, though, that it won't be too long before we see them again, since we'll be having our whole family gather in Cherry Log at Thanksgiving--our youngest, Jeremy, currently teaching in Cambodia, will be home for the holidays for the first time since he started this adventure 4 years ago.  Woohoo!

Anyway, here are some pics from our last weekend with John:

John's happy to see his new dog, Joey!

John loved petting every dog he encountered!

 Happy family!
 Todd, striking a pose!
