Have a little bit of internet here in Whitehorse, Yukon, so here are a few more pics from Dawson Creek:
This is one of 5 original grain elevators in Dawson Creek. When they started tearing them down in the town decided to preserve one of them and turn it into the visitor center.
This is a picture of when they moved the grain elevator from its original location to where it now sits, serving as the visitor center
Inside the old grain elevator
The walls were made by stacking 2 x 6 boards, very interesting construction
The Zero Milepost of the Alaska Highway, now in downtown Dawson Creek
Love these murals they have all over town
This curved wooden bridge was built as part of the original Alcan; ultimately the highway was improved and this section relocated around this bridge.
Looking down upon the muddy waters beneath the bridge.
Lorrin and Nyla, our tailgaters, and Tisha, their dog.
